My name is Allison DiChiara ("Mrs. Allison"). I am originally from Hopkins County, but currently live in Mt. Washington with my husband and children.
I obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Campbellsville University. I have a Master of Arts degree in English with a Teaching English as a Second Language concentration from Western Kentucky University. I graduated from the University of Louisville with a Master of Science degree (and Rank I) in Communicative Disorders. I am licensed through the Kentucky Board of Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology and nationally accredited through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. I also hold a Professional Certificate for Teaching Exceptional Children: Communication Disorders (P-12) through the Kentucky Education Professional Standards Board.
I worked as a speech-language pathologist for Jefferson County Public Schools for five years before transferring to Bullitt County Public Schools in 2016. I have previously served Hebron Middle, Zoneton Middle, Mt. Washington Middle, North Bullitt High, and Brooks Elementary, but currently serve as speech-language pathologist for Pleasant Grove Elementary School. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, reading, watching my son play sports, and relaxing on Lake Barkley. I have a busy, but blessed life!
